THE MYSTERY OF THE TETRANOMICON: ORIGINS
In March of 2023, Dr. Amil Fidahussien of the Institute of Egyptian Antiquity discovered something very strange on a archeological expedition which defied known historical timelines in the archeological record. He and his team carefully unearthed a perfectly preserved, perfectly shaped tetrahedral object of mystery. which they named, the Tetranomicon. After several weeks of study, it was learned that this strange object was some sort of device exhibiting advanced mathematical properties unknown to modern day scholars. The Tetranomicon was later sent to Dr. David Barrow of the Perimeter Institute, Waterloo, Canada where further studies of its construction have led to the development of a whole new branch of mathematics now known as Tetranomics.
INTER-DIMENSIONAL PORTALS: MISSING PERSONS
It soon came to the attention of the faculty at the Perimeter Institute, that Dr. Barrow had reportedly gone missing. Shortly after, an email was received by the Head of Staff which read that Barrow was deeply regretful to inform that he had discovered a way to open the Tetranomicon, for it had "seemed to unleash some kinda inter-dimensional being." There was no further explanation, just that no instruments at the Institute could test or verify this energy, and that the only way he could quantify what he had discovered was that he could feel a "presence." The email closes with "all attempts to close the Tetranomicon had failed" and that "Tetranomics itself was unknowable to the human mind."
NEW DISCOVERIES OF SELF-REPLICATION
With no sign of Dr. Barrow and no more Tetranomicon to study the phenomenon lay fallow for months, that is until reports of other Tetranomicon discoveries started surfacing on social platforms. Several of these Tetranomicons have been acquired by the Perimeter institute and further study has resumed with no progress to date. It has now become evident that in controlled isolated environments the Tetranomicons are beginning to self-replicate in novel ways, forming clusters in dangerous numbers; the potential for a cataclysmic inter-dimensional supernova is eminent. Extreme measures now have to be taken to disseminate this breeding and to spread the Tetranomicons out to those competent enough to both safely handle them and to perhaps aid in the strife to comprehend their nature.
